My verdict on this TV Series -
Since past 4-5 years, i have become a great fan of US/UK TV series , especially from the genre of fantasy,scientific fiction,action,thriller and horror. I use IMDB’s score to judge the TV series credibility. Anything above 7.0 is good for me, and those above 8.5 are absolute treat (e.g. Game Of Thrones).
Colin Morgan – As MERLIN aka Emrys
Merlin has been rated 7.8 since its launch in 2008, and that is impressive.If You Have not seen it till now, you must absolutely do.

Synopsis
Young Merlin is a teenager, discovering and then learning to master his magical gift. Episode 1.(Arthur’s Bane: Part One)
Arthur has been king for three years without incident but now an expedition to the land of Ismere led by Gwaine and Percival is captured by Morgana and fellow sorcerer Ruadan and set to work in the mines to locate a mystical key. A search party headed by Arthur and Merlin goes after them,coming upon a village whose inhabitants have been
massacred,a dying druid warning Merlin of Arthur’s bane – a battle where the young king will be slain.
Episode 2.(Arthur’s Bane: Part Two)
Ruadan rescues his daughter but is fatally wounded in the process. Merlin and Arthur are route-marched to Morgana’s wintry hide-out. Mordred shows them some kindness but Merlin mistrusts him. However Merlin and Arthur escape and arrive in the mines below the castle,where they free all the slaves,helped by a spirit called the Euchdag,who is herself the Diamar,the key which Morgana is seeking. Mordred saves Arthur from Morgana’s attempt to kill him and is rewarded with a knighthood on the return to Cameelot,the Euchdag having told Merlin that Arthur’s bane is Arthur…
Episode 3.(The Death Song of Uther Pendragon)
Arthur rescues an old lady accused of sorcery,who gives him a horn with which to summon the spirit world. Despite Gaius’s warning he uses it to briefly revive his father but soon realises his error as Pendragon terms him weak for his non-political marriage,practice of knighting ordinary young men on merit and lack of cruelty to make his subjects fear him. Episode 4.(Another’s Sorrow)
Princess Mithian arrives in Camelot with her waiting woman Hilda asking Arthur help rescue her father king Rodor who is hiding from Odin,the man who killed Uther Pendragon. But Rodor is actually Odin’s prisoner and Hilda is a disguised Morgana,controlling Mithian with an enchanted bangle,aiming to lead Arthur into a trap. As the rescue party sets out Mithian warns Merlin of Hilda’s true identity but Morgana knocks Merlin out and the others continue,leaving Merlin with Gaius,who brings him round.

Merlin Season 5 Episode 04
When three soothsayers from the court of the Disir pass judgement on Arthur for rejecting the Old Religion, the young king sets out with Merlin, Mordred and a handful of knights to a sacred grove to demand an explanation.
In the Sacred Cave , Mordred was morbidly wounded , that forced Arthur and his men to retreat. Arthur has to return to the cave when he learned that the cure is only possible by the one who wounded Mordred.Wanting to save the young druid, Arthur must make a difficult decision – accept magic back in Camelot or condemn Mordred to die.
Compelled by his foresight of the possible future, Merlin suggests that greater good of the kingdom is more important than the life of one man and he should not bow to The Old Riligion.
Merlin Season 5 Episode 04 – Triple Goddess
Arthur did the same and refused to Triple Goddess ‘s demand,but instead of killing Mordred , he was left alive. All the fears of Merlin came true and his foresight still holds a chance to come across.
What will happen? Can Mordred really Kill Arthur ? Amid nice development of plot,We will see.
